🚨 Community crackdown

Westerville • March 10, 2025

Good morning, Westerville. A significant blow to illegal activity struck close to home as Columbus police seized eight firearms and substantial quantities of drugs during Operation Unity. The targeted enforcement action, which resulted in a dozen felony arrests across four neighborhoods including North Linden, demonstrates law enforcement's commitment to community safety – removing dangerous substances like fentanyl and crack cocaine from our streets while addressing nearly 90 neighborhood complaints.

Amid this sobering news, there's cause for celebration as Ohio marks 4-H Week, highlighting the 123-year-old organization that nurtures future leaders through diverse programming. From livestock to woodworking projects, the program serves over 154,000 Ohio youth with remarkable results – 4-H alumni consistently outperform peers in education and community engagement. Tragically, the weekend also brought heartbreak as a motorcyclist lost his life Saturday evening in Upper Arlington, a somber reminder of life's fragility as authorities continue investigating the circumstances.
