Good morning, Summit County. A striking 294 grams of methamphetamine seized from an Akron residence highlights a cross-state trafficking operation that has now resulted in a nearly four-year federal prison sentence. The case against 67-year-old Charles Woods showcases the collaborative efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies working across state lines to disrupt drug distribution between Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, urban transformation continues as The Goodrich apartments at Canal Place prepare to double their footprint by converting office space into luxury residential units. The expansion joins several regional development projects breathing new life into Northeast Ohio's urban centers. In more concerning news, health officials have detected West Nile virus in multiple Kent mosquito pools, prompting increased monitoring efforts. While no human cases have been reported, residents are urged to take precautions during outdoor activities.
