Good morning, Stark County. As the one-year mark of Frank Tyson's death approaches, Crenshaw Park will become a space for collective remembrance this weekend. Family and friends will gather to honor the 53-year-old Black man who died in police custody last April, while the legal process continues with two officers facing reckless homicide charges and a court hearing set for April 25—a somber reminder of unresolved community wounds amid the blooming spring season.

Meanwhile, Stark County's calendar is bursting with opportunities to connect. From the Mount Union Alliance Chorale performance to the free "Golfing with Dad" event and the 33rd annual Canton Senior Expo featuring prizes and game shows, there's something for everyone. Downtown Canton saw a different kind of gathering Saturday, as hundreds lined Market Avenue with protest signs, joining nationwide demonstrations against recent federal government cuts in a peaceful expression of civic engagement.
