
π Canton streets shut down Saturday for Draft Day 10K race. Multiple road closures will begin at 7 a.m. and gradually reopen as runners progress through the course, with all roads expected to be clear by 11 a.m. Market Avenue, Tuscarawas Street, Washington Boulevard and numerous other streets throughout downtown Canton will be affected. The route circles the McKinley Monument and extends through Stadium Park Drive and Monument Boulevard. Hospital access will remain open from Interstate 77, though drivers should expect delays near Seventh Street NW and south of Fourth Street NW.

ποΈ Veteran sports broadcaster Sam Bourquin returns to Stark County airwaves. The 55-year-old will launch a new radio show on WDPN 1310 AM in Alliance, airing weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m. starting April 28. While sports will be the main focus, Bourquin plans to incorporate pop culture, local news, and weather topics with strong social media interaction. His extensive broadcasting experience includes previous work at ESPN 990, WHBC, and WAKR, and he'll continue broadcasting Mount Union football and basketball games. "We are thrilled to welcome Sam to the WDPN family," said station general manager Don Peterson.
