πŸš‘ First responder relief

Good morning, Scioto County. One in three first responders will develop PTSD from the traumatic experiences they face while serving our communities. It's a sobering statistic that Boyd County Coroner Mark Hammond is addressing head-on by recruiting volunteer therapists to provide free mental health support for those who run toward danger when others run away. This initiative couldn't come at a more critical time, following an intense period of fire deaths, child fatalities, and an officer-involved shooting.

Meanwhile, economic bright spots are emerging across our region. Azure Standard's $9.3 million investment brings 150 new jobs to nearby Lawrence County, establishing a distribution center and greenhouse facility that will supply organic produce year-round. And community development continues to flourish with the Foundation for the Tri-State Community awarding $66,000 in grants to ten worthy projects spanning beautification, public safety, education, and economic development initiatives throughout our tri-state area.
