Good morning, Scioto County. The partnership between UK King's Daughters and Kentucky Children's Hospital represents a healthcare breakthrough that brings specialized pediatric care closer to home for families across the region. This innovative affiliate network—one of the first pediatric-focused hospital systems in the nation—means local families can access expert children's healthcare without the burden of extensive travel, potentially transforming health outcomes for our youngest residents.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth's musical legacy takes center stage as Dr. Jared Johnson returns home from his prestigious position at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral to celebrate Second Presbyterian Church's 150th anniversary with a free organ recital on June 5. In a decidedly different headline, local law enforcement is searching for what might be the county's most peculiar suspect yet—a cape-wearing burglar who shattered a Dollar General's door while wearing only white underwear, apparently on a mission to steal women's undergarments. Sometimes truth truly is stranger than fiction.
