Good morning, Scioto County. The walls of Shawnee State's Appleton Gallery are currently showcasing the remarkable talent blooming in our community, with 50 selected works from eleven local school districts on display through May 13. This annual Visually Literate High School Art Exhibition spans seven categories from drawings to mixed media, giving our young artists a professional platform while connecting their creative voices with the wider community. Mark your calendars for the free closing reception on May 13, complete with live music and awards.

Meanwhile, newcomers are making their mark on Scioto County in meaningful ways. DJ Geek Techneek (Liz Pratt) has transformed from visitor to vital community advocate, captivated by our region's potential rather than just passing through. And for families facing addiction challenges, Life Point Church has launched a Parents of Addicted Loved Ones support group, offering something precious to those navigating difficult waters: education, fellowship, and most importantly, hope.

🎧 DJ Geek Techneek rallies community for local cleanup initiative. Liz Pratt, known by her DJ name, has become one of Scioto County's positive influencers after settling in the area. Like many who drift into the community for work, she found herself captivated by the region's potential rather than continuing to float along.
