Good morning, Ross County. The battle against homelessness in our community is gaining a powerful ally as the Chillicothe-Ross Community Foundation launches its 2025 Fall Grant Cycle with a special focus on this critical issue. Local non-profits have until October 3 to submit applications for funding that could strengthen everything from arts programs to health services. Meanwhile, Chillicothe's police force had their hands full recently, responding to multiple theft reports, documenting an assault case, and even assisting with a concerning incident involving someone reportedly jumping into traffic near US 23.

On the brighter side of local news, the Miami Trace tennis team continues its impressive season, delivering a flawless 5-0 sweep against Chillicothe. Both singles players and doubles teams dominated their matches, extending their winning streak in the Frontier Athletic Conference. The Panthers will look to maintain their perfect record when they host Washington tomorrow afternoonβ€”another chance to showcase our region's remarkable athletic talent.
