Good morning, Ross County. Here's a silver lining for your wallet: Chillicothe's rental market is giving tenants something to celebrate with apartment prices dropping 10% compared to last year. At $874 for a typical unit, local renters are enjoying costs significantly below both state and national averages – a welcome economic bright spot in today's housing landscape. While prices have inched up since summer, Chillicothe remains an affordable oasis with rental costs 55% below the national median.

History buffs and nature lovers alike have something to celebrate at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Area, where a new historical marker now honors Camp Sherman's legacy. This peaceful 1,469-acre preserve once buzzed with 120,000 WWI soldiers preparing for battle. Today, it's transformed into a serene habitat where deer roam, rabbits hop, and five majestic bald eagle pairs have established nests – a fitting evolution from military training ground to natural sanctuary.
