Good morning, Ross County. The rumble of Jeeps is about to transform the fairgrounds into an enthusiast's paradise as the 8th annual Ohio Jeep Fest kicks off Friday morning. This motorhead celebration isn't rolling alone—it joins a convoy of weekend activities including food trucks, concerts, and the Chillicothe Brewfest, making our county the epicenter of summer fun as June unfolds.

Meanwhile, history continues being written on multiple fronts. Southeastern's baseball team shattered records with their first-ever regional win behind Carson McWhorter's dominant pitching performance, setting up a showdown with defending state champion Berlin Hiland. In an entirely different arena, Chillicothe's RecW—the world's oldest short-term music trade school—quietly shapes the global entertainment industry from our small corner of Ohio, with its graduates contributing to major film and radio productions worldwide.

McWhorter also contributed offensively with two doubles, while batterymate Coleton Baxter delivered a key RBI double in a decisive three-run third inning. The Panthers, who have won seven straight games, now face defending state champion Berlin Hiland in the regional final. "I feel like we've made school history twice and might as well do it a third time," McWhorter said.
