Preble County • June 10, 2025
Good morning, Preble County. The stark reality of highway safety hits close to home this week with the tragic loss of a 74-year-old Holgate woman in a head-on collision. This heartbreaking incident on State Route 65 serves as a somber reminder of how quickly lives can change on our roadways, even as two others involved survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the Cedarville University community mourns the passing of Toi King, whose 42 years of dedicated service and caring spirit left an indelible mark on countless lives before her retirement in 2014.
As our community processes these losses, there's an opportunity to help shape Preble County's future housing landscape. Home Is The Foundation is reaching out for public input at their June 5 meeting for the 2025 CHIP Program application. Whether you attend in person at the Eaton Youth Center or provide feedback through their online questionnaire, your voice matters in addressing local housing needs and creating meaningful solutions for our neighbors.
