Preble County • May 27, 2025
Good morning, Preble County. Mark your calendars and plan your routes accordingly—Eaton's Barron Street railroad crossing is shutting down for critical repairs next week. Norfolk Southern crews will close that section of U.S. 127 from Tuesday morning through Wednesday evening, sending motorists on a scenic detour through West Alexandria. The timing coincides perfectly with the community's festive calendar, as West Alexandria prepares to transform its Main Street into celebration central for the annual Ole Fashioned Jamboree.
Meanwhile, Camden is witnessing an impressive business success story unfold. Just one year after cutting the ribbon on its headquarters, MedShip LLC is already expanding into a historic building across the street. This rapid growth not only signals the company's thriving operations but also represents a meaningful investment in the community's economic landscape. From railroad repairs to jamboree preparations to business expansions, our county continues moving full steam ahead.
