
🤖 Miami University adds artificial intelligence degree among four new programs. The university's board of trustees has approved four new academic degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence. The other new programs include degrees in World Languages and Cultures, Inclusive Education, and a PhD in Computer Science. These additions still require approval from the State of Ohio before becoming official. During the same meeting, trustees also approved renaming the Haines Boulangerie to Haines Food Court within the Armstrong Student Center.

🐾 Ohio celebrates new $450 million Royal Canin pet food factory. Governor DeWine recently attended the grand opening of the state-of-the-art facility in Lewisburg, which will create 270 full-time jobs over five years. As Royal Canin's largest dry pet food factory globally, the plant will produce enough food to feed 4 million pets annually. The project received $3.5 million in grants from JobsOhio and a 10-year tax credit. Mars, Royal Canin's parent company, has maintained a presence in Ohio since 1943, with this investment representing part of its $6 billion commitment to U.S. manufacturing.

🚧 Preble County's Ohio 726 gets a $3.5 million facelift. The resurfacing project stretches from U.S. 127 to the Preble/Darke county line, with lane restrictions in place until November 1. Barrett Paving Materials will handle the construction, which includes pavement repair and curb ramps. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with reduced width of 10 feet. Daily work hours run from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and drivers can check OHGO.com for traffic updates.
