🌟 Ravenna volunteer Patti Hicks honored posthumously with Honorary Way dedication. The ceremony renaming the street sign and bench at South Park Way will take place July 26 at the Ravenna Courthouse Lawn. Hicks, who passed away in August 2024, was a lifelong Ravenna resident who served as a trustee for Balloon A-Fair, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, and executive board member of Rotary Club. She also volunteered at Haven of Portage County and Center of Hope during Christmas assistance. Chamber director Ryann Cline praised Hicks' dedication and selflessness, noting she "helped make our community a better place."
🥟 Pierogies manufacturer plans expansion in Richfield Village. The Village Council approved a real estate purchase agreement with Old Man Lucky LLC, owned by Pierogies of Cleveland's Jennifer Harrah. The company will build a manufacturing facility to support distribution agreements across Ohio and seven additional states. In other business, Council extended the sewer meter installation deadline to December 15 and announced the upcoming Community Day weekend events for August 8-10, featuring a parade, steak fry dinner, and fireworks.
