Good morning, Portage County. Food trucks are rolling into Streetsboro City Hall next week, transforming the municipal grounds into a culinary carnival from July 7-11. Visitors can sample everything from gourmet hot dogs and BBQ to tacos and sweet treats between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily—part of a delicious initiative that continues through October. This mobile feast arrives just as Legacy Village's Locally Spruced marketplace showcases five remarkable small businesses offering everything from mystery coffee blends to preserved flower jewelry.

Meanwhile, Cleveland's skyline is moonlighting as Metropolis in James Gunn's highly anticipated Superman reboot. The director deliberately chose the city for its Art Deco architecture and meaningful connection to the character's creators, who conceived the Man of Steel there in the 1930s. Beyond the $37 million economic boost, there's something poetic about Superman coming home to his creative birthplace when the film launches DC's new cinematic universe on July 11.

🦸‍♂️ Cleveland stars as Metropolis in James Gunn's Superman reboot. The director chose the city for its Art Deco architecture and meaningful connection to Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, who conceived the character there in the 1930s. Filming at landmarks like Public Square and the Leader Building brought an estimated $37 million economic boost to Northeast Ohio. Gunn's fresh take skips the origin story to present Superman (David Corenswet) as an optimistic hero struggling to find his place in the world. The film, opening July 11, kicks off DC Studios' new cinematic universe after years of scattered storytelling.
