Good morning, Pike County. Faith meets expansion as Praises Christian bookstore turns the page on a new chapter, relocating from downtown Chillicothe to a spacious Shawnee Square location. The move solves parking headaches while creating room for new offerings like laser engraving and an expanded selection of gifts. Owner Herman Patrick's strategic relocation aims to better serve both locals and the out-of-state visitors who make special trips specifically for the store's unique Christian merchandise.

Pike County's youth continue to demonstrate exceptional talent, with eight Career Technology Center students bringing home medals from the Ohio SkillsUSA state competition. Landon Marhoover and Natalie Beekman led the pack with gold medals, with Beekman advancing to nationals in Atlanta. Meanwhile, fire investigators are seeking the community's help after determining that a July 5 blaze at a vacant Frankfort mobile home was deliberately set, with a $5,000 reward now offered for information leading to conviction.
