Pickaway County • February 6, 2025
Good morning, Pickaway County. Five years can change everything - just ask Officer Tate Van Fossen, who's spent half a decade protecting Circleville's streets with the same enthusiasm he brings to exploring Ohio's parks on his days off. While he's been marking this career milestone with fellow officers, another remarkable comeback story has been unfolding on the basketball court, where freshman Addison Edgington is proving that setbacks are just setups for comebacks.
Meanwhile, Judge Matthew H. Chafin's courtroom has been busier than a Netflix true crime series, processing six defendants facing charges ranging from assault to drug possession. Between immediate sentencings and not-guilty pleas, it's been quite the week for justice in our corner of Ohio - though we'd much rather celebrate our local heroes than meet them in court.
