🐾 Pawsitive legacy

Pickaway County • February 5, 2025

Good morning, Pickaway County. They say every dog has its day, and thanks to the Zosel family's touching tribute, that day has come for 16 lucky pups at the Pickaway County Dog Shelter. Following Julie Zosel's passing in 2020, her legacy lives on through a meaningful donation that's giving shelter residents everything from cozy beds to vital medical care - proving that sometimes the most profound acts of love continue long after we're gone.

Speaking of guardian angels, they seemed to be working overtime this week in Circleville. A middle school student walked away from a scary crosswalk incident with minor injuries, while over on the basketball court, the Tigers' impressive winning streak finally met its match against undefeated Fairfield Union. Sometimes even the mightiest streaks need a reset button.

☕️ What's Brewing Locally

🐾 Family's touching tribute turns grief into hope for shelter dogs. Following the unexpected passing of Julie Zosel in 2020, her family made a meaningful donation to the Pickaway County Dog Shelter in Ohio to honor her deep love for animals. Julie, who had no children, considered her dogs as family members and treated them like her own kids. The donation will support essential supplies, medical care, and comfort items for the shelter's 16 current residents. The primarily no-kill shelter continues Julie's legacy by helping dogs find their forever homes through adoption and fostering programs.
