๐Ÿ€ Courtroom champions

Pickaway County • January 31, 2025

Good morning, Pickaway County. Move over, March Madness - the Lady Tigers of Circleville just delivered a basketball performance that would make even ESPN's highlight reel blush. Their 49-16 dismantling of Miami Trace wasn't just a win, it was a masterclass in dominance, with Maddie Blakeman's 23-point showcase stealing the spotlight like a season finale cliffhanger.

While the Tigers were busy writing their victory story on the court, another remarkable tale was unfolding in the halls of Adena Health. After a decade confined to a wheelchair, Tammie Finley's chance comment to Dr. Rahul Kar sparked a medical breakthrough that has her not just walking again, but dreaming of mountain trails in Tennessee. Talk about a comeback story worth celebrating.

Maddie Blakeman led all scorers with 23 points for Circleville, while Miami Trace struggled with shooting throughout the game. The loss highlighted Miami Trace's recent offensive struggles, marking their fourth or fifth consecutive game with scoring difficulties. Head coach Ryan Day now faces the challenge of regrouping his team before Saturday's rivalry game against the Washington Lady Lions.

After nearly a decade of debilitating leg pain that confined her to a wheelchair, the 62-year-old Ohio resident found hope through Dr. Rahul Kar at Adena Health. Following a successful carotid artery procedure, Dr. Kar performed minimally invasive surgery to restore blood flow in her legs. Now pain-free and walking again, Finley has returned to gardening and baking, with dreams of hiking in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
