Good morning, Muskingum County. Nothing says "small-town summer" quite like Warsaw's annual park social, where plastic ducks racing down Beaver Run Creek created a colorful spectacle last weekend. The three-day community celebration offered everything from bingo nights to watermelon eating contests, proving that simple traditions still bring communities together in meaningful ways. Meanwhile, Lancaster's Festival Orchestra delivered a memorable finale at Fairfield Christian Church, with violinist Dmitri Pogorelov's "Call of the Mockingbird" solo captivating music lovers from across the region.

Amid these celebrations, a sobering reminder of rural life's dangers emerged when 68-year-old Rickey Berger was airlifted to Akron Summa Hospital after his tractor overturned on steep terrain in Adams Township. The Sunday afternoon accident, which occurred in the 26000 block of Ohio 751, serves as a stark reminder of the risks faced by those working our region's challenging landscapes each day.
