Good morning, Muskingum County. The spirit of recognition filled the air Tuesday evening as the Muskingum Valley Beverly-Waterford Chamber of Commerce celebrated local heroes who make our community thrive. From Jack Haessly's lifetime achievement award to the Gonzalez family's Business of the Year honors for El Costeño Mexican Restaurant, the packed annual dinner showcased the best of our county's service and leadership—including a well-deserved salute to the Waterford girls basketball team's remarkable 27-1 state championship season.

Meanwhile, healthcare access takes a significant leap forward as Allwell Behavioral Health Services unveils its new on-site pharmacy at the Bell Street location. This life-changing addition arrives just as summer entertainment plans solidify with Zanesville's free Summer Concert Series kicking off May 22nd. Despite Secrest Auditorium renovations, these Thursday evening performances will continue as planned—Mayor Mason's reminder that these gatherings help us reconnect with old friends feels especially timely as our community calendar fills with opportunities to celebrate together.
