Good morning, Muskingum County. The crack of the bat and the roar of Blue Aces fans told the story at Granville's baseball diamond this week, where Zanesville found themselves on the wrong end of a decisive 12-2 defeat. Despite valiant efforts from Tyson Kimble and Solomon Norris, the home team's offensive firepower proved simply overwhelming in what became a masterclass in diamond dominance from the Blue Aces.

Meanwhile, hearts were full at OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center as they raised a special flag celebrating the gift of organ donation. Transplant recipient Dean Fairchild's emotional testimony served as a powerful reminder of what's at stake for the nearly 3,000 Ohioans awaiting transplants. For those looking to stretch their dollars, mark your calendars for April 26, when the new Dollar General Market on Chandlersville Road opens its doors with gift cards and tote bags for early birds, plus fresh produce options that expand beyond the chain's traditional offerings.

Highlights included Jakob Culver's successful slide into second base as Zanesville's defense struggled to keep pace with the Blue Aces' offensive power.
