Meigs County • February 19, 2025
Good morning, Meigs County. There's an old saying that music is what feelings sound like, and this month, those feelings will echo through the historic halls of Federal Valley Resource Center. The Stewart venue is throwing open its doors for an open mic showcase that promises to transform local musicians from shower singers to stage stars, complete with professional sound engineering that'll make everyone sound like they've got a Grammy in their back pocket.
While some community members are preparing to share their talents on stage, others are marking transitions of a different kind. As Mineral Wells welcomes a new voice to their Public Service District board, we're also saying goodbye to Jeff Gainer, a beloved truck driver whose life was a symphony of service to veterans and whose legacy will continue to resonate through the generations he leaves behind.
