Good morning, Geauga County. Mother Nature flexed her muscles Tuesday night when an EF0 tornado touched down near Middlefield, unleashing 85 mph winds that uprooted trees, damaged roofs, and scattered debris across Madison Road in just two minutes. The brief but powerful storm even injured three livestock, reminding us how quickly our weather can turn from calm to chaotic in the blink of an eye.

On a brighter note, classic car enthusiasts can mark their calendars for August 16, 2025, when Anna Maria of Aurora hosts its 16th Annual Charity Car Show benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. Meanwhile, a different kind of milestone arrived in Solon with The Botanist opening its doors on Aurora Roadβ€”the city's first cannabis dispensary complete with drive-thru service. The establishment operates daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving both medical patients and adults over 21.
