Geauga County • June 4, 2025
Good morning, Geauga County. The ripple effects of one life well-lived can touch an entire community, as evidenced by Allan Kuhen's legacy. The 83-year-old Chardon resident, known affectionately as "Mr. Fix-It," leaves behind not just a successful business and loving family spanning four generations, but a blueprint for how dedication and generosity shape meaningful lives. His passing reminds us how deeply intertwined our individual stories become with our community's fabric.
Nature enthusiasts have a timely opportunity to become environmental stewards as invasive shrubs threaten local ecosystems. The upcoming "Your Yard Matters!" workshop offers both knowledge and resources to combat these woody invaders, complete with free supplies for early registrants. Meanwhile, the healing power of community was on full display at Beachwood Place, where nearly 3,000 participants raised an impressive $300,000 during the 25th annual Race for the Place, supporting those on their cancer journeys.
