Good morning, Geauga County. As spring unfolds across our landscape, resilience is blooming in more ways than one. Hiram College is leaning into this timely theme with their upcoming two-day symposium "Creating Resilience: In (and through) Community," offering free workshops and discussions that provide practical tools for weathering life's inevitable storms together. The event perfectly captures what community means in challenging times—something Robert Fisher embodied throughout his 80 years before passing peacefully last month, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength and a reputation as someone who could fix almost anything.

Meanwhile, outdoor enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as Munson Township unveils the first phase of a new disc golf course at Nero Nature Preserve. The nine-basket course, nestled among trees at 12150 Bean Road, features 18 grass tee boxes designed for players of all skill levels. Mark your calendars for May 17, when a ribbon-cutting ceremony and free clinic will officially welcome this increasingly popular sport to our community's recreational offerings.
