Good morning, Gallia County. Swift justice unfolded in a Jackson County courtroom when a jury needed just 80 minutes to acquit Stephen Doll of all child abuse charges. The Point Pleasant resident walked free after defense attorneys highlighted testimony inconsistencies that raised reasonable doubt about the allegations. Meanwhile, across the river, an Ironton man's guilty plea in a drug-related death case could bring up to seven-and-a-half years behind bars when sentencing occurs next month.

Late Tuesday brought dramatic developments at the Big Wheel Carry Out in Green Township, where an overnight break-in quickly turned into a solved case. Sheriff's deputies worked through darkness executing search warrants that led to two juveniles' arrests by morning. Chief Deputy Gruber's team earned praise for their rapid response, with additional charges potentially forthcoming for others involved after prosecutor consultation. The investigation showcases local law enforcement's commitment to swift resolution of community crimes.
