Good morning, Gallia County. In a region that ranked among Ohio's highest for suicide deaths in 2021, a powerful response emerges through community action. The 5th annual Hope Fest arrives at the University of Rio Grande on September 25, bringing together music, food, and family activities with a crucial purpose – building awareness and support for mental health initiatives that can literally save lives. With sponsorship opportunities starting at just $10, this event demonstrates how collective action can address our most serious challenges.

Meanwhile, the landscape of opportunity expands with the unveiling of Buckeye Hills Career Center's new $30 million training facilities. These state-of-the-art CDL and Electrical Trades buildings represent more than brick and mortar – they're pathways to high-demand careers for up to 100 transportation students annually. As the justice system processes 12 new indictments announced by Prosecutor Holdren, these educational investments offer a different kind of future for the next generation of Appalachian workers.
