Good morning, Franklin County. Nestled among today's headlines is a poignant reminder of legacy and community as the Chris Bradley Memorial Blood Drive honors the beloved 10TV weatherman who lost his battle with leukemia in 2018. This meaningful event at King Avenue United Methodist Church not only celebrates Bradley's memory but provides life-saving donations to OSU Wexner Medical Center and The James—a powerful testament to how one person's story continues to create ripples of good.

Meanwhile, the arts are flourishing as high school performers prepare for the spotlight at the CAPA Marquee Awards on May 9, showcasing young theatrical talent across Columbus. In contrast to these uplifting events, a troubling situation has emerged for many immigrants who received erroneous deportation notices despite legal status, creating unnecessary confusion for Columbus residents caught in a bureaucratic mishap that remains largely unresolved nearly three weeks later.

📝 Federal emails wrongly ordered legal immigrants to leave the U.S. within days. The notices targeted immigrants on humanitarian parole status, despite a federal judge blocking the Trump administration's attempt to revoke the program. Astonishingly, even U.S. citizens and immigration attorneys received these deportation notices by mistake. The Department of Homeland Security maintains it has "full authority" to revoke parole despite the court ruling, leaving thousands in legal limbo. Nearly three weeks later, immigrants in Columbus and nationwide remain confused with little clarification from officials.
