Good morning, Fayette County. Summer 2025 will bring the rumble of paving equipment to more than 12 miles of local roadways as the county rolls out its ambitious infrastructure improvement plan. Beginning July 8, Cox Paving LLC will transform sections of six major roads and portions of Old State Routes 35 and 35A, with County Engineer Jason Little cautioning drivers to anticipate potential delays during the weather-dependent project.

In educational leadership news, a familiar face is taking permanent command at Washington Court House schools. Dr. Chris Briggs, who has been steering the district in an interim capacity, received unanimous board approval to officially assume the superintendent role starting August 1, 2025. With previous leadership experience at Pickerington and Northridge districts and a doctorate in education, Briggs expressed honor and enthusiasm about working alongside the community's educators, students, and families in this new chapter.
