Fayette County • March 31, 2025
Good morning, Fayette County. After 64 years of faithful service, the historic horse barn at our fairgrounds is finally getting the attention it deserves. The Silver Spurs 4-H Club is championing much-needed safety upgrades, with a potential $20,000 donation already on the horizon to help replace deteriorating stalls. It's a timely renovation that mirrors other county improvements, including the Administration Building's extensive makeover that's shifting county meetings to Southern State Community College through 2025.
Spring is officially in bloom as the Hillsboro Garden Club plants the seeds for an exciting season ahead. Their March meeting buzzed with enthusiasm as members shared seed-starting techniques and planned for their prestigious Fall Region 16 hosting duties. Meanwhile, on a more serious note, local law enforcement has been busy maintaining community safety, with three juveniles recently arrested for burglary as part of the 133 calls handled by the Highland County Sheriff's Office in just two days.
