🌮 Local Cantina adds 11th location to satisfy taco-loving Ohioans. The popular Mexican-American restaurant known for unique tacos, huge burritos, and unlimited chips and salsa will open in downtown Pickerington at the corner of Columbus and Center Street. City officials described the new location as part of their "continued investment in the downtown" area. Local residents have expressed excitement about the growth, with one community member noting it provides "more exciting spots to network and meet new people." Despite some location closures since its opening a decade ago, Local Cantina continues to thrive, with existing locations seeing long patio waits during recent warm weather.
🏕️ Summer fun awaits at Fayette County YMCA camp starting March 17. The program runs from May 27 to August 8 for children who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Campers will enjoy themed weeks filled with swimming, sports, arts and crafts, STEM projects, and team-building activities. The cost is $150 per week for members and $200 for non-members, with registration opening Monday. Parents are encouraged to register early as spaces are limited for this opportunity to keep kids active and building friendships.
🏙️ Washington Court House committees report active community safety progress. The city's Service, Safety and Recreation Committee met to discuss monthly activities across departments. The Fire Department is busy with inspections and burn ban enforcement, while the Police Department is launching a criminal interdiction effort with the Highway Patrol starting March 17.
