Fayette County • March 17, 2025
Good morning, Fayette County. March isn't just bringing spring flowers – it's shining a spotlight on our neighbors with developmental disabilities. Highland County's celebration of DD Awareness Month is in full swing with the powerful theme "We're Here All Year," featuring special events like the Wildcats basketball game and the "This Is Me" formal dance. Meanwhile, FRS Transportation's remarkable growth – doubling their annual trips to over 152,000 – demonstrates just how vital these community connections have become.
Books are hitting the road throughout Washington Court House thanks to Carnegie Library's impressive outreach efforts. From their trio of weekly storytimes to Wednesday homeschool programs and even a book bike rolling into spring events, they're ensuring literature reaches everyone. On a more serious note, Robert Boltenhouse's 2.5-year prison sentence for methamphetamine trafficking serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing substance challenges facing our communities across county lines.

🔍 Ohio man gets prison for meth deals in two counties. Robert Boltenhouse, 57, was sentenced to 2.5 years behind bars after pleading guilty to aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine.
