Good morning, Fairfield County. The grocery landscape is expanding in a big way as Kroger received approval for a massive 118,000-square-foot Marketplace store in Canal Winchester. This ambitious development at Diley Road and Dove Parkway continues the company's aggressive regional growth strategy, which has already poured $390 million into Central Ohio over the past five years. The project extends beyond groceries to include a gas station and three additional outparcels, signaling confidence in our area's continuing population boom despite existing nearby locations.

While retail grows, housing markets are showing unexpected shifts, with Fairfield County home prices taking a surprising 12.6% monthly tumble to $273,000 in January. As the real estate landscape adjusts, families can focus on springtime traditions with Easter egg hunts popping up throughout the region. These colorful community celebrations offer perfect opportunities to connect with neighbors while watching little ones discover hidden treasures across local parks and venues.
