Good morning, Athens County. While most students simply dream about their future careers, Sullivan Beach is already anchoring his way toward them. The Ohio University senior has spent three years honing his broadcast skills at WOUB, balancing on-air experience with a refreshing bucket list goal of learning to surf after graduation. His advice to "be bold and never give up" echoes through campus as student leaders take bold action themselves, with the Student Senate responding to a recent Pride flag incident through anti-bigotry legislation aimed at supporting minority communities.

Mother Nature played fashion critic during this year's Fest Season as students navigated sunshine one moment and downpours the next. The weather whiplash sent many scrambling to local stores like 10 West Clothing Co., which saw its specially designed collection fly off shelves according to the forecast. Despite the meteorological mood swings, jerseys emerged as the standout trend, paired with cargo pants and camo prints—proving Bobcats remain stylish even when dodging raindrops.

🏳️‍🌈 Student stomps on LGBTQIA+ flags, sparking campus anti-bigotry bill. Ohio University's Student Senate responded to the March incident where an 18-year-old damaged Pride Week flags while shouting homophobic slurs. The legislation addresses increasing acts of discrimination against minority groups, which some link to media attention around Senate Bill 1 that removes diversity programs at public colleges. A TikTok video of the flag incident garnered 1.2 million views before being removed, prompting Student Senate leaders to show solidarity with affected communities and alert university administrators about rising concerns.
