Good morning, Westerville. The rhythm of Columbus beats strong with its thriving jazz scene, where local titans like James Gaiters transform everyday objects into musical destiny. Gaiters' journey from architecture student to acclaimed drummer who's performed with Wynton Marsalis showcases the unexpected paths artistic passion can take. He's just one of ten extraordinary musicians keeping the city's rich jazz heritage alive at venues like Natalie's, Dick's Den, and the new Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge.

On a somber note, the community mourns following Monday morning's tragic motorcycle collision on East Livingston Avenue. Emergency responders rushed the motorcyclist to Grant Medical Center, but they were pronounced dead shortly after noon. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene uninjured while authorities investigate, causing closures in both directions along the affected stretch of road.
