Good morning, Westerville. Tiny homes are making a big impact in Columbus's affordable housing landscape. U.S. Senators recently toured Vista Village, a transitional community for those experiencing homelessness, along with a massive modular apartment manufacturing facility set to be showcased next month. These innovative approaches, coupled with opportunity zone tax incentives, are transforming neighborhoods like the revitalized Trolley District into vibrant community spaces.

September's forecast brings a welcome shift after one of Columbus's driest Augusts on record. While temperatures will hover near normal for most of the month, we'll see a brief dip into the 60s and 70s when rain arrives—precipitation many gardens desperately need. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating a tragic early Sunday morning shooting on Stelzer Road that left one person dead and another injured, with details about suspects still forthcoming.
