Jennifer Bukey and Cabby Lawry have transformed the 40-year-old Village Petals location into Local Petals, a fresh flower and plant boutique at 573 S. Grant Ave. The shop, which opened February 8th, also showcases handmade items from six local artists, including jewelry, paintings, and woodwork. Carrying on a charming tradition, they even repurposed letters from the original store's sign, just as their predecessor had done.
