Good morning, Union County. The restaurant world's revolving door is spinning at Sawmill Road, where PJ's Hot Pot has closed after less than two years of DIY Korean BBQ service. Already, a new establishment called ER-GE has claimed the space, continuing the hot pot tradition while adding buffet options. Such is the nature of the restaurant business—constantly evolving, sometimes overnight, leaving diners to adapt their taste buds accordingly.

Meanwhile, summer activities are blooming across our community. The Marysville Library has transformed into a hub of daily free lunches for children and engaging activities from Performance Dogs of Ohio to Alzheimer's support groups. And West Mansfield's Fourth of July celebration promises a dawn-to-dusk extravaganza featuring everything from morning 5K races to evening fireworks, with plenty of fishing, food trucks, and family fun filling the hours between. No shortage of ways to make memories this season.

The restaurant, which opened in February 2024, has already been replaced by another hot pot establishment called ER-GE. According to signage and city permits, the new restaurant will also offer buffet options. Renovations are currently underway at the 6100 Sawmill Rd. location.
