Union County • June 5, 2025

Good morning, Union County. A split-second decision at an intersection changed everything for 19-year-old Grant Saylor, who was airlifted to a hospital following a violent crash when a commercial truck reportedly ran a stop sign. While the West Liberty teen faces serious injuries, authorities indicate they're fortunately non-life threatening. The collision sent both vehicles careening off the roadway, with the larger truck overturning and even damaging an unoccupied Cadillac parked nearby.

Meanwhile, tension builds as the Marysville School Board calls an urgent special session to investigate an unnamed public official, scheduled for next Wednesday at 5:00pm. On a brighter note, families can mark their calendars for June 6th when Mill Valley Park transforms into a hands-on vehicle wonderland. The "Touch a Truck" event invites curious kids to climb aboard everything from emergency vehicles to construction equipment while meeting the community heroes who operate them daily.
