🍂 Historic Harvest Festival returns to Hale Farm this October. The event will take place over two weekends (Oct 4-5 and 11-12) at the scenic 100-acre property in Bath Township. Visitors can immerse themselves in 19th-century farm life through cooking demonstrations, wagon rides, crafts, and daily performances by Johnny Appleseed. The festival coincides with peak fall foliage season in Northeast Ohio, offering admission at $15 for adults and $8 for children. The grounds will remain open weekends through October 26, with a special 5K race scheduled for October 11.
🍎 Smucker donates its only retail store to fight hunger. The J.M. Smucker Co. announced it will close its 19,000-square-foot brick-and-mortar location and donate the building plus 32 acres of land to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Beyond the property donation, Smucker has also committed $1 million over the next five years to support the nonprofit's mission. The retail store, located at 333 Wadsworth Road, represents the company's only physical retail presence in its portfolio.
