As summer winds down, local residents can enjoy some well-deserved perks. The Akron Zoo is offering free admission throughout September as a thank-you to the community (just remember to reserve your tickets online). And if you're heading out this weekend, take note: a sobriety checkpoint will be operating on South Main Street Saturday night between 8 p.m. and midnight. 🚚 Two refrigerated trucking companies join forces in strategic acquisition. Nagle Companies has acquired Kandel Transport Inc., combining their operations to create a fleet of 115 tractors and 200 trailers generating approximately $45 million in annual revenue. The partnership began when Jack Daniels of Kandel approached Ed Nagle about forming a strategic alliance, which eventually evolved into a full acquisition.
