Good morning, Summit County. The '80s are alive and well at Blossom Music Center, where Cyndi Lauper's farewell tour recently reminded fans that girls—and their moms and daughters—still just want to have fun. The 72-year-old icon delivered her classics with a voice that remains remarkably powerful, though her between-song storytelling created both intimacy and occasional lulls in the show's momentum. While she's stepping back from arena tours, Lauper made it clear she's not hanging up her microphone completely.

Local beer enthusiasts have something brewing to talk about as The Brew Kettle adds downtown Akron's Akronym Brewing location to its expanding portfolio. And in a tale straight from a children's storybook, "Moodini"—the adventurous Jersey calf who took an unexpected solo trip on Interstate 76 last summer—has found her forever home after no one claimed the highway-wandering bovine. Sometimes happy endings do come with hooves attached.

🎵 Cyndi Lauper's farewell tour blends '80s hits with personal storytelling. The 72-year-old icon delivered a nostalgic two-hour performance at Blossom Music Center in Ohio, showcasing her still-powerful voice on classics like "She Bop" and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." While her frequent between-song stories about her life and career created an intimate atmosphere, they occasionally slowed the show's momentum for the packed crowd of multi-generational fans. Despite billing this as her final arena tour, Lauper made it clear she's not retiring—just choosing to end large-scale touring while still in good health.

🍺 The Brew Kettle expands its empire with Akronym Brewing acquisition. Bryan Weber's brewery portfolio continues to grow as his company acquires the downtown Akron location of Akronym Brewing. The deal involves leasing the space from the city but does not include Akronym's Medina location, which remains closed. Weber's strategic expansion focuses on destination locations and preserving local beer brands. The acquisition aligns with Weber's vision of creating a wider footprint in Ohio's craft beer scene.
