Good morning, Summit County. Mark your calendars for a sweet cultural adventure! Green's first-ever Sweets of the World event is calling all bakers to share their family's cherished dessert recipes on June 22. If you've got a treat that tells your cultural story—from baklava to brigadeiros—the city wants you to showcase it, with registration closing June 8. Meanwhile, Richfield's hotel development plans are getting a bit more breathing room as the Village Council extends the Hampton Inn project timeline to July 31.

While development decisions simmer, Lakemore Village is taking immediate action to protect its residents with a $20,785 investment in life-saving AED defibrillators. Seven units will soon be strategically placed throughout the community, including at Dodds Park and emergency service facilities. The village is also gearing up for summer fun with an upcoming fishing derby and National Neighborhood Night, proving that both safety and celebration are priorities this season.
