Ladainian Jonathan Lee Blake ("LJ") passed away on April 30, 2025, during a medical episode while surrounded by family. A resident of Akron, Ohio, LJ was the son of Carl Jonathan Blake and Lyanna Coleman who received his education through Akron Public Schools, Total Education Solutions, and with support from Summit County Developmental Disabilities. He enjoyed simple pleasures like bouncy houses, swings, trampolines, SpongeBob SquarePants, and participated in the Annual Akron Autism Marathon with his parents' support. LJ is survived by his parents, extended family including grandparents, great-grandmothers, a brother, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, with services scheduled for May 7, 2025, at Sommerville Funeral Services.

Michael Lee Wilmoth

Michael Lee Wilmoth, a 48-year-old Amazon employee from Akron, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2025, while working in Portland, Oregon. Born on September 3, 1976, he was known for his determination, diligence, and kindness, always prioritizing his family and providing unconditional love and support. Michael is survived by his mother Carol, his children Ile, Moriah, and Tahj, his granddaughter Kialeigh, his girlfriend Rosa, and several other beloved family members and friends. A visitation will be held on May 11 at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, followed by a service on May 12 and interment at Hillside Memorial Park.

Danielle D. Kapusinski, 50, passed away at home on May 2, 2025 after battling metastatic breast cancer. She enjoyed nature, fishing, traveling, and making her yard beautiful, with her son Preston being the center of her world. Danielle is preceded in death by her father Gary, grandparents, and her dog Jake, while she is survived by her fiancé Jimmy, son Preston, mother Dianna, twin sister Dawn, sister Tracie, and other family members including her dogs Dodger and Rico. Visitation will be held on May 12 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, with funeral services the following day before burial at Hillside Memorial Park.

Anna M. Skorich, 90, of Newcomerstown, passed away on April 27, 2025, surrounded by family at home. Born in West Virginia in 1934, she met her husband Emil in 1963, and they lived most of their lives in Ohio. Anna loved animals and especially cherished her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children Glen and Mary, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while being preceded in death by her husband Emil, daughter Debbie, and eleven siblings.

Frances Ruth Seigfried

Frances R. Seigfried, 82, passed away on April 25, 2025, at Barterton Citizens Hospital. Born in Blue Ridge, Georgia in 1942, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and three brothers. She is survived by her sister Marie, her son Alvin, daughters April and Anna, as well as numerous extended family members. Known for her warm smile and deep love for God, family, and friends, Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Klet M. Freeland Jr., 88, passed away on May 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. A longtime resident of Suffield Township, he worked at Goodyear for 38 years and part-time at Beltz Lawn & Garden. Klet enjoyed hunting, car racing, NASCAR, rebuilding antique tractors, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley, three children, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two siblings. Funeral services will be held on May 9, 2025, at Newcomer, Akron Chapel.

Vicki Lee Hedding, 71, of Akron, passed away on May 2, 2025, at Summa Barberton Hospital. Born in Akron to Marvin and Gloria Cecil, Vicki enjoyed motorcycle riding, watching Cleveland Indians games, and television shows like old westerns and Law & Order. She is survived by her husband Roy, two children, three grandchildren, a great-grandson, her mother, and numerous siblings and in-laws. Following her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held after cremation.

Nancy Baird, an 88-year-old longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on May 5, 2025. She is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandsons, though she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and husband Lew. Nancy was actively involved with the United Methodist Church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels after retirement. She cherished time with her large family, enjoyed various games and sports, and had simple pleasures like reading the newspaper with morning coffee and enjoying mint chocolate chip ice cream before bed.

Brian C. Zager, a 50-year-old construction worker and outdoor enthusiast from Tallmadge, passed away on May 4, 2025. Born in Cleveland, he was preceded in death by his parents Louis C. and Shirley A. Zager, and is survived by his brother, nephews, niece, and girlfriend. Pastor Dan Page will conduct a service on Friday, May 9 at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow, with calling hours beginning at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Stroke Association or the Humane Society of Summit County.

Harold Dean Starcher

Harold Dean Starcher, 54, of Akron, passed away on April 24, 2025. Known as "Dean" or "Bubba" to friends, he worked as an auto mechanic and was known for his sociable nature and close bond with his dog Harry. Dean was predeceased by his parents, Harold Junior Lawson and Emogene Starcher, as well as two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his son Tyler, several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and close friends, with a celebration of his life to be announced at a later date.
