Good morning, Stark County. Emergency services are leaping into the 21st century as Stark County prepares to implement Next Gen 911 technology. The state-funded upgrade will revolutionize how dispatchers locate callers in crisis—swapping imprecise cell tower triangulation for pinpoint GPS coordinates and enabling residents to send photos and videos during emergencies. This life-saving advancement couldn't come at a better time as communities nationwide work to modernize critical infrastructure.

In other local happenings, history buffs and community-minded residents have a perfect opportunity to explore Five Oaks Mansion on May 2 when the Massillon Woman's Club hosts its open meeting and memorial ceremony. Meanwhile, the legal community is taking notice as Emeritus Professor J. Dean Carro makes a compelling case for his former student Christy Pierson in the Canton Municipal Court judge race, citing her judicial experience and compassionate approach to the law as standout qualifications.
