Good morning, Scioto County. Beyond the shelves of books that line their walls, our county libraries have transformed into vibrant community hubs offering everything from technology access to educational programming. These five locations (plus the roaming Bookmobile) serve residents from cradle to golden years, creating spaces where both learning and meaningful social connections flourish. It's a reminder that in our digital age, libraries remain essential anchors of community life.

A homecoming of musical proportions awaits on June 5 as Portsmouth native Dr. Jed Johnson returns to perform at Second Presbyterian Church. The Yale graduate and current Canon Director of Music at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral will showcase his organ mastery to kick off the church's 150th anniversary. Meanwhile, local law enforcement agencies made headlines with a significant drug seizure after court officers serving an eviction notice unexpectedly discovered narcotics, weapons, and cash at a Sunset Street residence.
