Good morning, Scioto County. Leadership transitions often signal new chapters, and that's exactly what's happening at Adena Pike Medical Center. Come September 2025, local son Andrew Bauer will take the helm as senior operations executive, bringing his deep community roots and hometown perspective to the role. The Western High graduate follows David Zanni's decade of transformational leadership with plans to expand specialty care access across our region.

Athletic excellence continues to shine in our communities, with the Piketon Lady Redstreaks dominating SVC softball behind Player of the Year Aubrey Heath's stellar performances. Their impressive 12-1 season highlights the wealth of young talent developing throughout the conference. Meanwhile, Fluor-BWXT's $3,500 donation to Waverly City Schools' COPE program tackles obstacles beyond the classroom, providing essentials like interview clothing and transportation assistance—practical investments in breaking cycles that hold our students back.
