Good morning, Scioto County. Earth Day may still be weeks away, but the artistic celebration is already taking root across the river. The Grayson Gallery & Art Center is inviting creators of all kinds to submit works for its "Celebrate the Earth" exhibition, with the gallery transforming into a showcase of environmental inspiration during the April 25 F!nal Fr!days Art Walk. The timing couldn't be more perfect as spring breathes new life into our Appalachian landscapes.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack to our region's summer is getting a boost as country-rap pioneer Colt Ford announces an upcoming Ashland performance. His unique blend of twang and beats will arrive just as local families are celebrating some impressive academic achievements—Ashland Community and Technical College's dual credit program saved participants over $340,000 in tuition costs last fall alone, with 767 high school students already building their college transcripts while still walking high school hallways.
