⚡ Mythical showtime

Scioto County • March 3, 2025

Good morning, Scioto County. Mount Olympus is getting a distinctly Appalachian accent this March as the Paramount Players bring Percy Jackson's lightning-charged adventures to Ohio University Southern. This musical mashup of ancient Greek mythology and modern teen angst promises to electrify audiences – and with free admission for students, it's a deal even Hermes would approve of.

While Zeus's missing thunderbolt may drive the onstage drama, real-life heroes are making their own impact locally. Clark's Pump-N-Shop just powered up community health with a $25,000 donation to King's Daughters Foundation, while emergency responders demonstrated swift action in safely evacuating sixteen seniors during Monday's kitchen fire at Artrips. From mythological quests to everyday acts of service, our community continues to write its own legendary tales.
